Indian And Pakistani Pair Win Nobel Peace Prize 2014

Kailash Satyarthi, 60, has become the fifth Indian to win a Nobel Prize, overall categories and second in Peace after Mother Teresa. The other Indian recipients are Rabindranath Tagore (Literature), CV Raman (Physics) and Amartya Sen (Economics). The whole world's focus is on child issues like bullying, education, underprivileged, hunger etc.; on women  for their protection, gender equality, sexual harassment etc; and old-age. 

Kailash Satyarth is running a social organization named Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) - which means Save Childhood Revolution by means of which the organization focuses on various issues related to children in India - like slavery, bonded labor and other kind of labor. The BBA organization has almost rescued more than 80 thousand children from these social illnesses mentioned above. Satyarth is an electronics engineer by education who decided to dedicate his life for this cause. India is among the top countries in child slavery. 

Malala Yousafzai, who was anticipated to win Nobel Peace Prize last year has achieved it this year. Malala, 15, is a globally recognized figure for fighting for the right of education to girl child. She herself has led by example by demonstrating her strength. In 2009, Malala was shot in head by some gunmen while boarding her school bus, in 2012, October. She had published an article in BBC Urdu regarding Terror of Taliban in Pakistan and disruption in normal life due to this. 

After recovering from the injury, she wrote her autobiography that became the global bestseller. Malala also addressed in the UN General Assembly. She is just 17. She left Pakistan due to danger to her life and now lives in the United Kingdom.
