Interview With Youngest Author From Israel: Gal Rochwerger: Jake Harelson and the War for Hope

Today we are meeting with Gal Rochwerger, 16, whose debut book was published in Hebrew when he was just 14 (2011). Gal, born in 1997, in Haifa, Israel has been passionate about book right since his early childhood. The title of his debutant book is Jake Harelson and the War for Hope. He grew along with his other passions like playing drums, enjoying rock music and basketball. He rates The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon as his favorite book. He is also fond of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series. Later at 16 the same book (Jake Harelson and the War for Hope) got printed in English which is available on Amazon.

Vacations in Costa Rica at my aunts house and summer vacations at my grandmas house on the island near Istanbul.



About your education



I am going to high school in Shfeya, Zichron Yaakov. I will start in September the 11th grade.



What career did you plan during your education days

I would like to be a film director.

I am working on 6 book series of Jake Harelson



What are your future plans?

To finish high school and study film production in Jerusalem Betzalel.

To create a comprehensive story that captivates the audience and include self experience.
